On the navigation bar to the left is a listing of individual townships in Muskegon County. If a link is visible, there is more information about that township. If you have suggestions or contributions, please contact webmaster@wmgs.org.

The name "Muskegon" is derived from the Ottawa Indian term "Masquigon" meaning "marshy river" or "swamp." The "Masquigon" river is identified on French maps dating from the late seventeenth century.
