Welcome to the Mecosta County Genealogical Society Website.

We are now offering a Pioneer Certificate for those who are direct descendants of pioneers in Mecosta Co. prior to December 31, 1899. Applications are accepted throughout the year and then we will pick a month that works for you and MCGS to do a presentation of the certificate with your family and friends or we can mail it to you if you can not attend. Call Maureen at 231-250-5555 if you have questions on how to fill out the application.

Currently the Society is working on indexing everything they have. Volunteers and donations are always welcome. The quicker this gets done, the easier it will be to do lookups.

Meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month from May to October at
