wyoming historical commission
Our
non-profit organization consists of nine volunteer
commissioners and meets on the third Wednesday of
every month at 6:30PM in the History Room inside the
Wyoming Branch of the Kent District Library.
[MAP]
These monthly meetings are open door and a Wyoming
City Commissioner also attends.
We
normally open our History Room for visitors twice a
month on first and third Saturdays, 10AM to 2PM.
Appointments can be made for visits on off hours.
Our phone number is 616-261-3508.
Our
History Room has a large collection of local area
high school yearbooks, plat maps, newspapers, family
photos, business records, tax records, genealogical
materials, and artifacts. We also host speakers and
attend community events.
We
receive no monetary support from the city of
Wyoming. Our organization is fully funded by book
sales and donations. We offer two complementary
Wyoming history books for sale,
